We had the relatives around - 15 at the table

2 geese, suitably stuffed - carcasses remain for the soup pot

wine flowed like the biblical flood

Christmas pud and mince pies

coffee and...

There are lots of things that are considered a delicacy e.g. pigs balls, brains (often served as a brain omelette or on toast), bone marrow,..............

Ermm - originally mince pies did contain meat. My son who really likes to cook found an old recipe - with meat - and followed that. We were a bit dubious but they were actually very nice.
