Commission-based service is usually awful and stinks from a mile away. Not only is it pushy but you get a whiff of insincerity and all sorts of mumbo jumbo with the simple aim of securing the sale....

In the restaurants I would agree, but overall Singapore doesn't rank too well in the service column when it comes to retail shopping.

Staff are often annoying and keep pestering you as browse...

Restaurants in Australia are generally terrible. And surprisingly it's Asian food that is the biggest let-down. Overall out of all the restaurants I've tried I would only return to about 15% of them....

Yeah, tell me about it. I rented a dinky, little Merc recently in Bournemouth and wasn't happy about switching from big to small, but after a day on the roads I reckon I would have been better off...
