Your wife is relying on EU freedom of movement rules as would her son so Brexit will put pay to that albeit not until the end of March 2022.

If he is dependent on his mother and willing to join you in the UK for the next five to six years then he would have a path to British citizenship. He will no entitlement if he remains in Argentina.
