Yes as long as it is declared on a goods to follow list or having some in your possession on arrival.
From a personal point of view bring stuff with long expiry dates.

Both. Some BSOs I know are quite fond of Cadburys chocolate bars but not so much with Bovril.
You mention container what size a 20' or a 40' ? How much food you thinking of bringing :lol:
