Brigette,
on keeping Bank Accounts, we noticed our US bank has started deduction $10 month Maintenance Fee without advising us.

We were keeping it open just-in-case, there were only tax payment...

On reflection, I also do find some useful / entertaining tv. As you say, being selective is important and knowing what to avoid is key.

TurboTax does require payment by Credit Card. I chose TurboTax because I used them before, they can use previous years data, I am familiar with their process and I didn't qualify to use IRS...
