The main thing driving this has been the realisation that interest rates in the Northern Hemisphere aren't going up (from virtually 0%) anytime soon.

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about rental yields (like every bank and residential property "investor" in Aus)... shouldn't they be through the roof (instead of 2-3%) given this terrible "supply" problem in...

The slow, steady collapse of AUD has far more to do with China, and the related fall in resource prices, than it does with Greece. I for one (and the market for more) would be amazed if the RBA were...

I just go back to the original point that a currency losing 25-30 percent of its value in a short space of time is not normally a good sign for the country involved. Nothing more, nothing less.
