like most things foodwise - its down to personal taste.
but then if you have to travel 35k to get to your nearest Aldi ......

and when was it that Asda/Tesco/Sainsburys stopped controlling what the UK purchases.?
ISTR it was heavy advertising by Tesco of crates of lager at below cost that was raised in parliament not so...

must agree with you. In some product groups the prices have come down quite drastically - perhaps due to "grey imports".
Food - a major cost of living item is cheaper if buying "local"

OK so some people prefer the coast, some inland, some have moved from one to the other

We are currently living in a piso, have no problems with landlord,...

we also had discussion same subject last night - don't believe all you hear about UK - it is full of people who buy things without looking at the price per kg. If they did they would be horrified...
