I should have clarified...16 years ago I was whisked into my job...most likely not because of my accent/nationality but it didn't hurt. Things are different now and yes teachers are being laid off. ...

I walked straight into my job in New York, albeit a different field; teaching without a four year degree. I think the ability to sell yourself is key here as well as working the British accent,...
