Got my money back. Reason stated was "item no longer in stock" which seemed strange because I got the order confirmation straight away from the German supplier and it is still available on Amazon!

In December I bought something on Amazon.de and still haven't got it, even though eta was 29.12.2012. I've tried tracing the parcel but it says on Amazon that it's not possible because it's overseas....

Lidl are having their British week from next Monday, 10th. Apart from the normal stuff like cheddar, marmalade, etc. they have even got Guiness (yuck) 500ml at 1,29 for those who are interested....

The only ceramic pot I have used is the "pignata" for octopus or pulses or horse meat on the fireplace. Do you use the ceramic pots on the hob or in the oven?

P.S. I don't doubt for one minute you...

Well I made it. Boiled the water, added the polenta, stirred but not fast enough ending up with lumps. Put in the liquidizer, got rid of lumps, then back into the saucepan and added the cheese and...

Read the instructions and it says to tip contents into 2 litres of boiling water .... whether that would turn out sloppy or not, I have no idea.

No, I wouldn't go to Bari (200 km there and 200 km back) just for one of their biscuits. It's the fact that like many other things, Bari is as far south as anyone goes, not to mention Sicily.

I think it's because they are a different race of sheep here. The Italian ones are so ugly and scrawny, I have trouble recognising if they are goat or sheep. Perhaps they are more interested in the...

Suet is beef fat and lard is pork fat. If you want fresh suet, ask your butcher for the white fat round the kidneys - I think I have just gone off mince pies .....

Yes, I think McVities has decided to tackle the Italian market as I have seen quite a few shops with them - haven't found my Garibaldis or fig biscuits yet, though!:(
