Er... in town means inside the town. The actual geographical location on the map known as the town. And in any event, a lot of the residential area is in the Mission district.

No because I didn't get shot at. I did get vomited at though. And I wasn't staying in Penticton. That's the point, that was my first impression.

I'd take the Delta over any hotel in Penticton...

I found the appearance of the town to be somewhat unappealing, plus two drunkards vomiting in the street outside the casino who engaged in raucous banter left me with an unfavourable impression.
