I would double check the information you have been given if I was you. Driving licence groups have been standardised throughout the EU, and Cat B (cars) only covers vehicles with up to 8 passenger...

The only thing that's contradictory around here is the information you are posting with regards to driving licences which is completely contradictory to what the current law throughout the EU...

You're quoting outdated legislation, it is no longer necessary to exchange a UK licence for a Spanish one.
