With a lot of people this is true , but with a BMW or a Mercedes they probably are pretty loaded . A lot of these brand new Toyotas and Hondas you see around are probably killing people with the...

Agree with Shard . What constitutes a typical Thai these days ( in BKK anyway ) leaves a wide variety of people . When you drive around BKK you will notice top of the range lancruisers , BMWs ,...

Not trying to rubbish you , just think your figures are way off . So you're saying that the only way to live in BKK on 100k is to not drink and stay in all the time . This is obviously not true ....

I always laugh when I read rubbish like this . Even at 100k you are still earning vastly more than most Thais . You tell them it is just about 'doable' and they will laugh in your face .

The thing is that at 250k a month you're looking at about 8k a day. Don't know about rent and bills etc but if that was all to play with I'd be worn out after a few nights. It is easy to spend10K +...

Didn't say I was doing that , I said I have stayed in places for 2 quid a night . I was a lot younger then and I didn't have a wife and kids . Swissotel right now is about 5000 a night so my 2 quid...

My favourite at the moment is the Swissotel on Wireless Road , purely for the garden and pool which is amazing . A lot of 4-5 star hotels do 3 nights for the price of 2 deals . Having said that I...
