Thanks hen, I ended up doing a royal icing for the main cake and fondant for the decorations, made it with gelatine and ermmm pig fat instead of shortening but it worked:D

This won't come to anything, we had some with enormous flakes on Sunday but as Paul said, it was too wet to lie.
I think it's safe to say that is it for this year though we might get some late...

Most of the snow should be gone by then as rain is forecast Thursday/Friday but it will still be cold! Looks like a taster of what global warming has in store as this is quite something this late in...

Looks like the current UK weather is heading this way - more snow forecast Sun-Tues/Wed. Will make sure we stock up tomorrow though hopefully it will be nowhere near as bad as the recent blizzard!!

Worried it might go up next year as the village just won a 50 million ft for village development projects and we are hoping part of it will pay for a new road - we might then need to pay 7,000ft next...

Coincidentally, my council tax bill arrived on Wednesday, just over 6,000ft for the year and we can pay in two installments if required. :D

:thumbsup: looks like ours did this morning except the drift was on the steps right up to the front door - we were literally snowed in. Most of it has melted now though.

Third time typing this due to power cuts.... So it's condensed now.
Have a glass of wine, de-stress, just make sure animal house is as draught proof as possible and if no hay for bedding, substitute...
