It's cummulative totals, as in how much snow fell over the whole season, not what is/was on the ground.

Perhaps everyone at Friends of Algonquin Park are wrong.

Yup.

Over 1,000 centimetres (32.8 feet) of cumulative snowfall this winter and more is falling now.

That takes me back to when my (then) husband and I moved to Hong Kong to take up a teaching post in 1979, the salary was around £3800 a year and there was no chance of doing a recce - we literally...

I was in the Maldives 30 odd years ago, the runway strip (island) they had was absolutely tiny with water either side of you, you left the plane and walked to an open air processing area before...

I think if you were having to clear your driveway by hand several times a day, having to drive to go to work and all that that entails your thoughts about winter would be completely different.

Now we have a wind chill warning for tonight so all that lovely fresh snow laying on top of ice will freeze and be even more dangerous.

We had lots of snow today, along with driving winds. Not fun.

Yesterday was lovely - today is frikkin' rubbish again.
