I have to say that I do find this province male dominated in many respects and that the networking culture can make finding a job, let alone one you really want, tough.
We DO have a lovely home but...

We live just off of Junction 8 on the 102 near Elmsdale. It gets hot and green in the summer and can be cold in the winter (-21 in the windchill this morning - it was bracing!), when I say cold we...

I like it too, I saw a truck this morning with a snowplough thingy attached to the front and I felt freaked out!

Things to do - picnic at the beach, explore the South Shore, day at the lakes, wander round the wildlife park
Places to go - Melmerby, Mahone Bay, Grand Lake, Peggys Cove (only been here 6 months so...

Can I just add that I smile as I am from the southeast of England and used to very large suburban areas. I still prefer Halifax to any of those large sprawling grey ugly places like Croydon though

It is in Ireland and not far from water by the look of the map but rather reminds me of Llanelli (shudder!)
Yes the calling of Halifax a city makes me smile still.

I think they were "trespassing" and having an effect on our cat who was hissing behind the patio doors at a safe distance

We have been here just over 6 months and we find loads of things to do. Our children are 7 and 4 and they love being able to ride their bike in the road and I love that I am without fear of them...
