My parents weren't, nor were my grandparents and their parents. I would suggest that there are at least a few billion people in the world who are not immigrants.

I don't think this is only limited to Canada. Were we live (albeit SW London) we only know 1 household to converse with out of the 36 households in our apartment complex and many many more...

In all honesty, during the past 30 odd years spent living in the UK, i haven't noticed a vast change in crime / "lazy/benefit cultures" other than in the tabloid press.
