We popped in once and to the beach, which looks nice. Didn't check out the area and houses etc... as we were just passing through. So can't say what it really is like.

I like Forest Lake. Been there a few times now, just passing through. Does look really nice.

A bit far from the east of Brisbane though, if you work that side.

Yep, or work on about 30km radius from the CBD. Anything further out doesn't seem to be part of Brisbane for whatever reason.
