I think I'll try contacting my old employer too, from what you said, I gather that it is not required but will be a bonus.

Any ideas what I should ask in my request?

My question is more 'Do I need to?', seeing as my last employment (8 years) covers the criteria needed (6 years)?

We don't think it'd be feasible to move between the two on a short-reccie (2-3 weeks) as funds are limited. We need to choose one before looking for somewhere to...

If I am to request 'detailed' references from an employer, what exactly do I ask for? Are there any examples online?

Also, do I just seek references for the last 6 years of professional...
