Ah well, that'll give me more than enough time to finish CIMA (an international qualification, according to them!), and do my CPA exams while on long vacations to see daddy!

So once I get the Visa, I'd have to move there within six months?

I dont expect it to 'only' take four years - I'm expecting it to take about six. My question was, if I apply for and am successful...

Thanks for the replies people. I've asked dad to make sure the rest of them fill out I-130's for me. Guess I just have to wait now - although that will give me more than enough time to finish...

How well off are you? If you're gonna sell your house too, and have Â£500,000 to invest over there (say in a chain of shops, or one large shop), you could get a visa based on being an investor...

I was just going off The US embassy London site - it just says that "A step-parent or child will qualify for immigration only if the marriage creating the step parent/child relationship occurs before...
