1. There is such a problem with banks. I had a GBP account at the HSBC in Calgary. To the best of my knowledge the HSBC are different in different countries. The HSBC in the UK did not recognise...

Custom House (http://www.customhouse.com/) - They are FANTASTIC (seriously), they have never charged me wiring fees, and offer great rates if you shift larger amounts of money.
