Re: FlatDog's question re H1B - AOS or Consular Processing?

Update from lawyers: Converting the process to AOS takes only a few weeks. By nature of Consular Processing, it entails additional months of government processing time compared to AOS.

They are...

Re: FlatDog's question re H1B - AOS or Consular Processing?

Thanks for the replies, and sorry for confusion using CP for Consular Processing! I'm seeking advice from another lawyer now. Thank you.

Re: FlatDog's question re H1B - AOS or Consular Processing?

Thank you, yes, in EB3 and current in the June bulletin. I'm thinking I stick with CP to try and get it done before retrogression.

Re: FlatDog's question re H1B - AOS or Consular Processing?

Re: FlatDog's question re H1B - AOS or Consular Processing?

I hear that changing from CP to AOS takes a long time, I'm happy to do CP and I can work remotely so don't need to take as much time off. I just don't know the process on how much time it takes. Is...

Re: Time frame for AOS on H1B

Because it appears my company put CP down on the I-140 paperwork (without telling me) and I'm told it is best to stick to that than file I-485 by our company lawyer.

I've been in the US since June 2007, originally on L1A, then moved to H1B. I have approved I-140. My priority date just became current, yay! It appears my company indicated on my I-140 that I would...

Re: Online bachelor degree in USA

As I'm employed full-time, I don't think I can do the traditional on-campus ones due to time. All good feedback though, keep it coming.

Re: Money transfer from UK when already in the US

I'm with FirstDirect in the UK, and BofA in the US. I just pickup the phone to FD and request the transfer and it is taken care of. Really easy. But as noted above, be careful at the $10k mark, split...

Online bachelor degree in USA

Has anyone done one of these? I'm looking into doing one in my spare time and would appreciate any recommendations or "don't use this one" experience!

Thanks.

Just to update you, I spoke to the lawyer on Monday. They informed me that after 6 months of being promoted I can apply for the switch from L-1B to L-1A. Which is now :)

They are also looking to...

Re: L1-B to L1-A transfer
