i know what you meen and as i have seen in a previous post i am not in a situation where i have to go for the first thing that is offered, but the offers are a bit thin on the ground at the moment.

it just the only option on the table at the moment without coming out there for a reccie and interviews.

Ive sent my cv/resume out to numerous transport companies in...

Thanks for being so honest and frank with your replies guys it is all helping with my research and VERY much appreciated, i'm sure you have all read threads on the "other" forums for ex pat drivers...

Thanks Dinger, had a couple of interviews lined up last year and had planned to come over for a reccie late in the summer last year but things went a little off plan here and i've not been able to...

It has definately helped make our minds up! "the wife" wasn't too struck on the idea of being stuck in the house for weeks on end whilst i was out living my dream.

My brother lives in Leeds and were planning on a quick visit but by the end of it i wasn't feeling very sociable, just ****ed off and cheated out of £25, plus £4 for the carpark.

Yes i did check the web site and actualy managed to speak to someone before i booked the ticket, i was told there would be "employers from the trucking industry"

Presumably your OH is either in construction, engneering or town planning? or maybe a bus driver?

Good luck! If you get hungry theres a tesco express just past the Starbucks, you might want refreshments before you set off back!
