Re: RSA Boarding Schools

Hi All,

I've not logged on for a while. We don't have to make a decision until 2010 so we're just seeing how the political climate develops. We've not been put off although the Rand is slowly...

Re: Bank accounts RSA

Hi Sasher,

I started a couple of threads a few months ago because I was interested in looking into education in RSA. I went to visit some schools expecting them not to be able to stand up to the...

Re: Bank accounts RSA

Thanks Pablo - I may get my hub to read this later as I am so ignorant when it comes to financial planning. He's bored me to tears for years that my brain automatically switches off when certain key...

Re: Bank accounts RSA

He is always too busy to find things out which is why I get the research post! Of course that works to his detriment at times as I wouldn't have come across schools in RSA. Basically I'm trying to...

Re: Bank accounts RSA

In the short term the rand will not improve but the market believes it will be 30% stronger by 18 months time. Because my hub is in banking he was able to ask someone who deals with currency trading...

Bank accounts RSA

Now that I've made a decision about schools I asked if they would allow me to pay school fees in advance due to the probability of the rand strengthening against the pound in the next 18 months....

Re: RSA Boarding Schools

Well apart from seeing how things progress politically we are going to send our boys to Hilton. They are hopefully going to spend a couple of weeks each year at a prep school nearby so they can...

Re: I loved RSA!

Biljilo - I have a trained protection dog here in the UK and I can tell you that those people are idiots and have not trained or cannot handle their dogs properly, and that happens anywhere. I can...

Re: Fight Fire with Fire - Home Invasions

So it's just a hunch, just like someone had a completely inaccurate hunch that I was lying the other day!

Anyway, if I shoot an intruder who is armed or not, what would the repercussions be for...

Re: Fight Fire with Fire - Home Invasions

I think there's more to this story. For people to be able to aquire these weapons, bullet vests and cars they must be part of an organised group with money and I suspect this guy who was targeted...
