Re: Putting accepted application on hold?

Thanks for the advice you two. The sticking point with the kids is not necessarily the disruption of moving them (as I would agree it's easier when they are younger), but rather the decision my...

Re: Putting accepted application on hold?

Thanks Noorah, I appreciate the quick reply. At this point we don't even have a solid plan; basically whenever we can better afford it, when it isn't as disruptive on our young kids, and when the...

Putting accepted application on hold?

Hi everyone,

This is a bit of an unusual question, I'm sure, but I'm hoping the regulars have some insight for me. About 6 weeks ago, I posted that my UKC wife received her NOA2 from the DCF in...

Re: Premiership Football

There are all kinds of satellite packages you can get Waza that will cover all Premiership and international football.

For example, Directv (the American equivalent to Sky basically) has a...

Re: I-130 Postcard Email Response

They usually cash the check pretty quickly and that's sort of your first indication that they've recieved the package of forms and have begun processing them.

As for the notification, I got the...

Re: I-864: Joint Sponsor or Household member?

Yes I did Jeff. Thanks for confirming that though as that would be a costly oversight if I didn't have the correct I-864 to correspond with each path.

Also, good point about the income. It does...

Re: I-864: Joint Sponsor or Household member?

Awesome Rene! Thank you so much for the detailed reply. Do you know if copies of all that stuff is ok or do I need him to send over some originals from the states?

Re: I-864: Joint Sponsor or Household member?

Rather than make a new reply, I'll just bump this thread as I have a few more questions pertaining to the Affidavit of Support.

I went ahead and had my father complete both sets of forms...

Re: May/June I-130 DCF filers come here!

Thanks for answering my question Meauxna and Emily. It's good to know we at least have a few months leeway to either try to sell this house, or get rid of it in another manner before rushing off to...

Re: May/June I-130 DCF filers come here!

Congrats Emily! Your interview date came really quickly! I kind of hope ours doesn't come quite so quickly as we still have yet to find a buyer for our house!

Speaking of that, are there...

Re: May/June I-130 DCF filers come here!

Yeah, it's just the quick letter giving the case number and the link like Rene described above. The wording in the letter is vague though and even says, "After you've received the forms..." which...

Re: May/June I-130 DCF filers come here!

Update: Finally received the case number (packet 3?) in the post today (14th of July). It was just a letter though with very little actual information beside the case number.

I was under the...

Re: Approval Notice of relative Immigrant Visa Petition

They are indeed running a bit slowly it seems. It's been two weeks since we got the NOA2 in the mail, and are still waiting for the case number. I was hoping something hadn't gone wrong somewhere so...

Re: Wife USC I am UKC both Living in UK Does Wife have to move to US first?

No, your wife doesn't have to go to the US before you; you can both enter at the same time. However, her moving ahead of you does make the question of domicile much easier to answer, almost rendering...

Re: May/June I-130 DCF filers come here!

Just to add my story as well to this thread:

Sent off I-130 at the beginning of May and received NOA1 (notice of receipt) by email on May 5th.
We received the NOA2 (notice of approval) on June...

Re: I-864: Joint Sponsor or Household member?

I should have been more clear about my father's income from the start. He makes quite a good living far above the poverty line, so I don't think adding to the household size will have any real...

Re: I-864: Joint Sponsor or Household member?

Thanks for the quick replies you two. Remember, my income is literally 0 right now, so that's what will go on the form, so I'm not sure if the numbers will be different either way since it's...

I-864: Joint Sponsor or Household member?

Hi everyone!

I received my wife's NOA2 today which is fantastic, and I wanted to immediately start the next pack of paperwork to get her an interview. Most importantly, I wanted to get the I-864...

Much appreciated :)

Re: Process pause after I-130 approval?

Yea that's the problem Catgirl. We're not sure if 6 months is enough time after we get the visa to get an offer, and don't know what we'd do if time's up and the house hasn't sold yet.

On the...

Process pause after I-130 approval?

Hey everyone!

I did a search on the forums regarding my question and only saw a vague reference about it in one post, but it wasn't clear enough to fully answer my question, so I'll put it to the...

Re: Thinking of moving to Columbus, Ohio from UK

Unfortunately it's a bit of a longshot you ever being granted a visa unless she becomes a USC and you marry her.

Getting a green card is easy. It's being allowed in the country in the first place...
