holiday let

I`m still a good couple of years away from buying my "dream home in the sun" but have decided to come over next year for a general look around type holiday.
I`m looking for a holiday let for 3 weeks...

The last time I came over I used Thomas Cook and the rate wasn`t too bad - I will check out the post office also.
I was also wondering whether there was much of a difference...

I`m coming over to the UK in a couple of weeks and need to change cash Euros to cash Stirling - Where can I get the best exchange rate? It`s a few thousand so a couple of percent makes a difference....

I can`t comment on your husbands position regarding staying/working in Holland but as you say you won`t have a problem.
Maybe working in IT wouldn`t be a problem speaking only English but...

I have an estate agent coming round on Monday to value my house to sell/rent.

Total local tax of Eur1100 - that`s almost 3 times what I pay here in Holland (but I do pay 42% income tax:(
