Yes - I read on here that you can be penalized with a higher interest rate if you are not a Permanent resident.

Does anyone know whether you can decide which embassy to go to after the petition has been approved by US immigration. i.e at the point when I need to book my interview can I decide then?

I have not booked my appt yet, I have just told my attorney at the time of filing that I will go to Brussels. Maybe I still have the choice to go to either.

When I do the sums I guess it will end up costing the company in the egion of $30-$40K - it just seems a high figure!!

I suppose my biggest worry is the house. I will have to sell it, and thats pretty tough at the moment. It would not pay for itself at all in rent.
