your last part is incorrect... although everything you say is right in relation to your assets in the UAE they (the powers here) dont have any jurisdiction to do anything with your assets outside the...

sams right - get it attested in the country you get married in..

doing the FCO thing by post takes longer (if you ring the phone line of the FCO they will tell you what date of post they have...

yep new rule - u not only need the certificate attested but now u need the "marks" attested as well
thankfully i had a kept the letter they gave me at the end of my degree with my certificate....

Chris sounds like he did it a great way - i havent heard of that service before... but you can do it yourself in a day if your in London. I did it a week ago and it was a day spent in...
