Re: Portugal Telecom, your experiences Good & Bad

We have found them either terrible or brilliant, this seems to apply to everything in Portugal. We were going to have a alndline and internet in the bar when we first opened, PT came in and said...

Re: Krazyworld

Zoomarine is very good, the Sand Sculpture park near Pera is worth a visit, but it does not open until the end of May though. Three waterparks, one near Quarteira, one near Almancil and one near...

Re: Ignorant old twats!

Sorry PC, I did not want this to degenerate into an argument but you clearly do. I can't let such a sweeping generalisation go. Especially when you are comparing the British (or is it just the...

Re: lottery dreams

Well we play the UK lotto via t'internet, and they have paid out (sadly only the odd tenner...) with no problem. And what is to stop tourists from buying tickets when they visit the UK?

Think the...

Re: lottery dreams

I would love to have enough to give up work, and fly back to the UK each weekend during the football season and spend the weekend wherever Charlton are playing. Taking in the best local restaurants...

Re: What are the bad things about Portugal ?

Why do the Portuguese insist on pushing both the up and down button when calling a lift, thereby making the progress even slower?

Re: Televisions

All electrical goods in Portugal come with a two year guarantee by law. However if it does break down the shop can opt to send it for repair rather than replace it, and while it is being repaired you...

Re: What are the bad things about Portugal ?

Just stand on the one way system around Albufeira town hall, it's better than any dull old F1 race, with the added fun of unexpected stops as the drivers spot a possible parking space. Cracker the...

Mind you...

Re: What are the bad things about Portugal ?

Road signing does not help though, does it. Pedestrian crossings are almost invisible here in the south, because of the tar obscuring the white stripes on the road, add to that the one crossing sign...

Re: Bullfighting

The bull is not killed in the ring, but they do throw those little spears with the bangers attached into it, and it is relentlessly teased and worn out until it's dead on it's feet. They kill it...
