Are you saying that from a $6083 (146K / 24) fortnightly salary you only take $3600 after tax? That is a way bigger chunk than I expected. I thought of tax taking around 35%....

Just for the record: we got our visa (175) on the 10th of November!

Finally...

It could have been sooner but the CO asked us to provide new evidence for my spouse's English level....

Oh wow, you are the same as us: a 175 visa lodged on 21-12-2007 and all docs frontloaded. Could this be good news for us as well.... ;)

About the scanned documents: I included the scanned copies of the certified copies. Didn't know I could also just scan the originals??? Would have saved me a lot of time and some money.
