If you are coming directly from the airport take the Catania airport to Siracusa direct bus right from the airport. 6.50 each and reliable .

Fly into Catania and concentrate on the south east corner for this trip.
Siracusa and Ragusa provinces have good infastructure, you can see many different things without being trapped in your car...

Driving in cities like Catania or Palermo then driving anywhere outside of them in the rest of Sicily is like comparing driving in NYC versus the rest of the State of New York . I find driving here...

Avola is between Noto and Siracusa ( the city) . Seaside, on all the public transport lines and has some of the best beaches around. I live under comune di Noto but nowhere near the town and we do...

You can get everything you need to make it in the Moroccan run stores in Cassible. Same guys can probably get you the types of lamps you are looking for. They speak more English than your average...
