This is why I use Wise. On my Chase account i can set my Wise account up as an External transfer account, and that way there is no wiring involved. There is a limit of 25k per transfer.

We are using Wise and have done so now for several years. Wise gives you to have a US "bank account" with routing number and account number. I have a British currency account and a US currency...

It's all a gamble to be honest - life that is! If I had been in the States I think it is unlikely I would have lost my kidney, but who knows? Thank you for the advice I will certainly look into...

Yes we do both qualify for U.S social security and we both have 40 credits for Medicare from our 15 years 2003-2017.
