leasing is almost impossible to find in the short term most agreements are for 2 years

I would suggest you buy a cheap second hand vehicle and believe me they are cheap...

air canada flys pets all year round from the uk to canada only exception is a couple of weeks over christmas and some smaller planes on internal flights.

forgot to say I think the halifax daily limit is £5000 so if your car is more than $10,000 you would need to let your uk bank know in advance then clearance should be no problem

we paid for our car with a uk debit card with no problems
give the dealer a call so long as it has the visa sign on your debit card its fine

ours was from our UK halifax bank account

how about trying to get a brit who has moved to NS to be your driver for a month

place an ad in a local paper perhaps asking...

sorry for any misunderstanding yes did do the written test it was multiple choice and easy
what I meant was no tricky questions on practical test

really scared and aprehensive about both tests ,...

forgot to say you dont need to have taken the driving tests before buying the car or getting insurance we had ours for about 5 weeks before the test.

Insurance company were quite happy to insure...

the Nova Scotia driving test is a doddle and absolutely nothing to worry about.
eg 5 minutes through the one set of traffic lights in the local town and your done, the examiner was more interested...

Could he not apply for rehabiliation 5 years after the end of the sentance which would be this year anyway so perhaps all is not lost.

Have a look on the CIC site re application for criminal...

I dont think you need to apply for rehabilitation as both of these crimes are very much spent

You would by now be deemed rehabilitated and the CIC website states you do not have to apply
