Thanks I thought not. Ive been filing for a couple of years now but wondered if there was a way to lower my tax bill as it's shot up this year even though my rental income only went up a little bit.

that's what i filled in, but it says you can't live here on a date after you become a PR. That's the confusion. It comes up in big red writing that these dates aren't correct.

Thanks for that. Yep I believe I didn't pit a % in on the personal allowance as I guessed I couldn't claim any. And yes conversion rate hasn't helped !!

Hi there, thanks for your replies. I believe Hifx offers a good rate of exchange but it's here on Canadian side that my bank charges me $25 to receive the funds.
