Re: Basic French and Jobs beware!!

Well done you have done great and that is after all what it is all about - it working out.

Re: help looking for jobs in France

I am no France fan believe me but maybe it is expectation. You leave Britain with a good job and you hope for the same or close whereas in reality you need to start again often, get a rung on the...

Re: Wanting to move to France.

I am certainly no fan of French life but all things in perspective. I am also no tax expert.

However

If you have an overseas company and are operating in France that is all well and good,...

Re: Lawyers for a property purchase in Calabria

Just a thought but IMO it is always a good idea to split your professionals up (prevents conflicts of interest). I assume you contacted Giambrone, he didnt come via the the estate agent. Why dont you...

Re: Camper van legals?

I have done it a couple of times successfully in France without changing the lights or a carte sejour although I would not neccessarily reccommend it. The lack of road tax is a plus but they do...

Re: Camper van legals?

Amen to that! But things are improving slowly. The ECJ is slowly dealing with infringements and they now have reasonable effective 'Solvit' agencies in each country to resolve more infringements at a...

Re: The Right Decision !!!

Fair enough but I do think it introduces too much risk into the equation at a critical time. If it does not work out they can leave school with nothing.

I have moved my kids around and the...

With respect to earthquake insurance,...
