Hi Gak, few days back I read it on the internet that in March 2007 ICAI have started a dialogue with CPA Australia to sign a MRA (Mutual Recognition Agreement) between them, I hope they do..

My Apologies Jaj...you are correct, that 24 credit points has nothing to do with the immigration points.

Apologies, my course of Masters in Accounts with CPA extension gives me a additional 24 credit points. I read it wrong that CA will give me only 24 points compared to CPA.

I was informed by my agent that if I do CPA it gives me 63 points for my PR Visa application compared to 24 points that the CA course will give. I think your suggestion of an MBA degree sounds much...

Hi Jaj,
I may do both CPA and CA in the future I guess, more education can never harm anyone. Is there a difference in pay packages in Australia for a CPA and a CA ?

What additional examinations will I have to give to work...
