I am assuming it's because of the winter months when New Yorkers actually get a thing called "snow". Apparently, it's fate worse than death for most Londoners when everything comes to a grinding...

I am on the property ladder in the UK, yes (but not in London), so it's not something I would want to lose if it goes pear shaped in the US. I am surprised to learn that it's very easy to buy...

The problem with most of Europe is that it was built many centuries ago as opposed to NYC, which was built in the last 100 years or so. This makes everything old fashioned... I, however, don't like...

No, no... I live in Wiltshire, it's just the company I work for is based in London so I could probably transfer there with relative ease if I wanted to.

And property was bought with a friend, so...

No, I am not Jewish. An American wife would be a possibility (I guess) but I'd rather have a job before moving there!
