The tolls do not start untll after trhe bridge on the Portuguese side.

You pay at a post office or pay shop but wait at least 48hrs after using the motorway for your vehicle to be registered.

Remember it is a buyers market NOT a sellers, agents are inundated with properties for sale and if you want them to " prioritise " your property then simple commercial factors come into play.

Offer them peanuts and you will get little if any effort put into seling your property.

You have to compare like with like.
We all need lights, cooking TV no difference except that the Algarve has longer days so less lighting.

Or fly with other carriers, Easy jet for example do charge but per booking not person.
If you are a regular traveller you can book more as many flights as you want and only pay 1 admin charge.

Winter in the UK, snow , travel disruption, lights on most of the day, central heating on all the time.

You must have money to burn..

We pay a standing order of the equivalent of E140/month here in the UK for a small apartment that we only occupy for 7 months year.
We also face an increase also of at least another 15%.

2009 was awfull but we have sat outside for lunchtime drinks in the sun on christmas day, been in shorts and T shirts on NYE.
Had to shop for light shirts to play gold as the clothes we bought with...
