thanks for the replies, i,m getting the new passport done for him, will i then have to send it to australia house london to have the visa changed over? or take the old passport with us?:confused:

thanks polly, we have the spouse visa,he had his last passport when he was 15 so it is still valid for another yr, i will phone the passport office or australia house to see if it definately needs...

my son who is 19 is going to validate his visa in october, only thing is he still as a child passport that dont run out until nov next yr, will this be any problem or as the passport is still in date...

go get it sorted,its a very painful thing to have and like people say easily done by key hole now, i had the op 3 yrs ago, i was in terrible pain and the stones were moving out of the gall bladder...

if your children were born after you were granted citizenship by descent then they too can get it, but as i was only granted my citizenship by descent last yr my 2 eldest aged 21 and 19 cant get...

thanks jaj, i had read or heard that about the 12yr old and i also remember something about once i had lived in aus for 2 yrs that the older one could get citizenship, cannot for the life of me...
