I have found fishing and camping world in Kelmscott very good, it's a kind of coop store, as opposed to your Kmart, Ranger etc chains, decent range of gear of all sorts and very helpful service....

Yes, but as someone else said, get it signed off as part of your total package before you arrive and start work, otherwise you probably wont get it.

Planning regs differ in different regions of the province but in general are far easier to navigate than in the UK. Many rural areas...

I am in Perth on a 457 visa, arrived last August. My experiences:
-Get everything you want or expect as far as terms/conditions go in your contract with your employer before you travel....

No, they are a lot nicer than the TO/SW Ont area. A lot more winter sun here, colder, and drier. Less rain and more snow. Similar to central Ontario. Having said that this is Canada...
