Well I have some good news to share. My husband received his visa today! :D:thumbsup: I am so happy it's over. He will be landing on September 8th. I have updated our timeline below.

I kept busy with my 2 jobs and literally worked day and night and tried not to think about the wait :unsure:

Yeah 3 weeks seems to be about the average time for the passports to return. We've waited this so long so a few more weeks won't make a difference now lol :)

BF means Bring Forward Date :)
It's a date that is set by your DIO to alert them to look at your file if they haven't done so already. They use it as a precaution so they don't forget about you.

We did use our receipt at first to get information. I actually called the centre here in Canada to get my client number. We paid online as well.

As I said I am just shocked that ecas actually changed lol

I know of quite a few people who never saw a change until after they received their visa!

Did they at least give you some information about your case eventhough they wouldn't give you your DIO's name?
I would keep trying cause they gave us that information and that wasn't too long ago.

You can call this number 44 20 7258 6600. Tell them you want to find out information regarding your case. If you don't know who your DIO is then ask whoever you are talking to on the phone.
