Hi there,
am still trying to persuade my wife to move to buderim with me, had a visa for some time.
she's happy working as a clinical nurse specialist oncology, like a hospital based macmillan...

If your eligible it's a fairly straightforward although slightly lengthy process so the first thing to do is find if you could get in... like Pollyana says on www.immi.gov.au Going for a holiday...

Our PR visa is valid to 2012 - we're moving in Nov and three of our kids have recently got new passports.... can you tell me if it's necessary (and how) to nofity DIAC of the new passport numbers?

yeah, maybe Wendy :D ... though I hear a lot about requirements to be in Aus for at least 2 years out of the 5 before you ask for a RRV?
I don't know anyone who's left it getting on for five...

Sorry, your ‘personal view’ led me to believe that you do agree with the policy. I agree that they do need skilled workers in Australia sooner rather than later but I doubt anyone would wait 4 years...

.. could understand it if just the applicant was required to 'validate' but there's seven of us so it's a bit costly. I'll make sure I'm up to speed with the local laws...

Initial Entry

... you have to make an initial entry (all members of the family unit included in the application) to validate the visa. This entry is normally made before the medicals and police clearances...

Hey...... Many thanks for your replies guys,
All seems straightforward now.. I'm relieved I don't have to make another trip to the solicitor, and it's a colour scanner so no probs there.

I'm not sure if I can just email the certificate... or if it needs to be a certified copy?

My wife is a nurse and the medical form 26 asks for hepatitis blood tests to be undertaken for 'temporary entrants'...

Thank you for your reply curly - haven't tried to book the meds yet but will 'phone tomorrow and nip over to the police station too. After waiting six months for a reply it all seems a bit of a rush....

case officer advice needed

Hi, we got an ‘Initial Request’ letter via email last week from a case officer asking for meds and police certs.

The letter asks for a ‘Full Response Within 28 Days’.

There are seven of us so...

as Dima only "suggest/recommend" 2 years I don't think I'll bother getting the kids new ones - seems a bit extraneous to me when they've got still got 22 months left on them.....
