Their reluctance as far as IT is concerned is due to the fact that most positions require you to have a security clearance...

Our neighbour runs a B&B in Calwell. He can accommdate dogs and their families :-) on a long term basis. If you are interested, send me your details and I will drop them round.

We are loving Canberra. No ifs and no buts.........suits us perfectly. We chose Canberra for the schools, bush setting, 4 seasons, demographics such as population etc...

Salaries can be higer - houses were the cheapest I guess but there has been quite big jump last few months.

We moved here 6 months ago and have no regrets.........:):):)

We are 5 months-ish in.......and absolutley loving it. The kids (10 and 7) have settled without any problems at all. We both have good jobs and move into a nice big house in a nice area next week...

We stayed at the Mercure Sydney Airport. Reasonably priced ($240 for a family suite with brekkie). Easy to find from airport if you are driving - they also have a shuttle service. We have used it...
