Re: Neighbours stealing power

I had actually thought of that...sometimes the simplest solution might just work. Thanks for reminding me.

Re: Neighbours stealing power

:) Simplest idea yet. I'll have to take a look at the outlets and see how they are installed. I may not be easy because they put two sets of outlets back to back (1 set being mine, the other my...

Re: Neighbours stealing power

Indeed, when neither of our cars need powered that is a solution. There is in fact a breaker just for those 2 outlets.

More like $10 per month if it was every night. Certainly not a massive...

Re: Neighbours stealing power

Exactly why I think the sign is the best idea. Something like "Power for resident use only," and then in smaller letters, "each resident pays their own hydro, please don't steal."

Unfortunately,...

Re: Neighbours stealing power

All good ideas. I've never seen any kind of power outlet locks, but then I've never looked. The outlets are on a post, so that may or may not make it harder. I'll have to look next time I'm at...

Re: Neighbours stealing power

That is correct. I can see wanting your car plugged in to be warm, but not if the power isn't for you. Like, I don't park behind Wal-Mart in employee parking just so I can plug my car in while...

Re: Neighbours stealing power

That's the weird thing...there are lots of visitor spaces and they are never full. I think I'll see if management can have signs made for my spot, or at least have the spot marked more clearly.

Neighbours stealing power

I'm not quite sure how to handle this. We have assigned parking stalls in the apartments were I live. Parking is all in a big lot, and opposite my spot is visitor parking. Recently I've had...

Re: Californication

According to wikipedia, Season 2 is to begin filming in April, 2008.

In Canada, the channel is called Showcase (Showtime in the US). Definitely a good show, and one I'll have to be sure to...

Re: Canadian eh!!!!

For what it's worth, the same debate goes on in the US. People are outraged the the national anthem is getting sung in Spanish with the words changed to make more sense to non-American Spanish...

Re: Exchange rate

Makes me want to cry. I see today 1 US dollar is only 93 cents! Not good for my plans of buying a house right after landing this spring. Regardless, I'll be happy to be out of Southern California.

Re: How accurate do dates need to be!

Did you happen to email anyone about your new address after moving? I was able to all 7 addresses I've lived in the last 7 years and when I moved just by looking in my sent items folder.

Re: what age is the right age to move to Canada? or is there such a thing?

I put 19-25, even though when I move I will be 26. I'll be moving just me and my Canadian spouse. If I had any more than that, I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable doing it. I would have liked to do...
