Try the sunny south east. I am in Wexford, bustling, vibrant.
Loads to do.
Still many employment opps if required (I am not looking for work but adverts in local paper and shop windows etc)...

Grumpy,
My only comment would be is to buy a new property and avoid the stamp duty. I know that not everyone likes new but maintenance is kept low.
That is what I did when I bought my holiday...

Nicola, the roads have improved many fold over the years i have been traveling to Ireland. Only thing is, there are still too many drivers prepared to take risks and cause near misses/accidents....

We have just bought a property in Wexford -(aprtment, holiday home initialyy but will probably relocate when kids finish Uni) -fantastic place - real nice town, easy access, good road/rail links....
