Just out of interest why do you think this is? Are the low wages putting people off. I have done some calculations I recon you need $60000 to live well in NZ and that’s mortgage free....

You should be able to pick up a Hilux for less than £8000 in the UK.
There is a glut of 4X4's in the UK. I think you should get a good 96
one for around £5000.

Thanks for the info Gina,

If I do go I will rent out my place as you say property is coming down in NZ.
However I expect the same over here. I will have around £200000 when I sell
my place....

I have had quotes for around £1000 to ship it. It seems to make sense as I would take such a hit if I sold the car here. Why would'nt you do that ??

House rental seems like the best bet if you can cover morgage and costs.
My place needs decorating so not so worried if tenants trash it a bit.
