Importing car from WA USA to BC Canada, which port?

I am planning the moving and need import my car thru Blaine port. I just realized that there are 2 ports in Blaine, on is Peace Arch on I-5 and another is Pacific Highway. I have no idea which one...

I am study the custom regulation and this catch my eye:

Any one item valued at $10,000 or over is dutiable

Does this apply to new immigrant? I have at least 2 items, car and piano are valued...

I see nobody mention this area in the forum. Many said Surrey is to avoid, Langley is to stay. So, how aabout Cloverdale, it's in the middle of Surrey and Langley :)

I am talking about suburbs, maybe 30-50 miles from the city, so I can still go there easily if I want to.
This is mainly for retirement life, so quite, safe, probably some view are good idea....

Yes. For my case, they want the W2 half year after the filing; and 2 years later, before issuing the visa, they asked some more document which includes latest W2 again.

I think it's better to keep as is. I assume you're on H1? When you say very very low, it couldn't be lower than 47k as I know, otherwise you should sue your employor. It's illegal to pay a H1 worker...

I landed Canada by driving. The 30 days auto revalidation rule applys our case, as long as you have valid 797/I94, you're find, expired H1 stamp is OK. No new I94 was issue, so don't give the older...

So 240th or east is better than 224th area, it's only 2 miles away... how about west of MR, near Pitt Meadows or in Pitt Meadows?
