Yes you are correct it should be entered on Form 1040. The person I saw at H & R Block wasn't entirely sure so consulted with their international tax lawyers.

Can anybody help with how I enter my UK State Pension on US tax return. As I understand it this isn't taxable in US as it's taxed at source in the UK (it is however under the tax personal allowance)....

Oh I do hope not. As we didn’t want to fly with our dog we are booked on the Queen Mary in December which doesn’t arrive in New York until the 22nd. My medical expires 2 weeks after that. I wondered...

Thank you. I think I will give a call on Monday to see if I can get an earlier date. It is a very long wait and can’t even book an interview as dates for August aren’t even up yet.

It was renewed in 2009 so they kept that passport with the visa when they sent a new passport.
