You are absolutely right - we've now been in touch with the medical community and it seems things will be feasible and fairly simple. If you paid in to the NHS for 50 years they still honour that...

Well, unfortunately the healthcare provision here absolutely refused to cover my father in the last five years so the $100k+ treatment is just not an option. Roll on healthcare reform in the US!

BTW if the US Consulate is aware that they plan to emigrate to the US they will not be given tourist visas. As they are free to use the VWP for entry to the US they have to have a darn good reason...

UK Parents Sponsorship to US - few questions.

I am British - awaiting US citizenship after being LPR for last 4 years from marriage to US citizen. Once citizenship is obtained I intend to sponsor my parents for permanent residency in the US....

I see what you're saying but wouldn't the US customs be suspicious if, on return to the US, my US passport had not been marked on entry to the UK?
