They need to be very careful they don’t have a class action law suit against them. They took the money without warning and continually wrong.

I believe the form is to reclaim tax is NR 17 but haven’t looked at the form yet. I asked the same questions and they won’t commit to a refund. Personally I think they have made a massive mistake...

That’s how RBC interpreted the rules. When I spoke with the CRA that’s a completely different alternative system when there isn’t a tax treaty in place.

You can claim the tax back in the UK on your self assessment but only at the UK base rate of 20% but it’s better than paying 25%.

You can but they charge a large fees from the bank and at Wise which makes it uneconomic.
