I am in the same boat, but the beginning of June. My family and my parents are going on a Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona. Definitely can't cancel that.

Did they give you a reason why you had to pay them the full fee?
I emailed them at the beginning of the week and still haven't received a reply. I am feeling anxious to find out.
